SolFence Solar Privacy Fence

Vertical solar fence that generates power and replaces a privacy fence — new to the Illinois market, installed by All American Solar Solutions.

Overview

SolFence is a vertical bifacial solar fence: the fence panels themselves are PV modules, so the structure that gives you a privacy barrier along the lot line also generates electricity. Vertical bifacial systems produce a flatter daily curve than rooftop solar (morning and afternoon peaks instead of one midday spike), which lines up better with how most households actually use power.

SolFence is well suited to properties where the roof isn’t optimal for solar — heavy shade, north-facing slope, slate/cedar/clay tile that the homeowner doesn’t want penetrated, or HOAs that restrict rooftop arrays. It can also supplement an existing rooftop system to fill in production gaps. [NEEDS USER INPUT: confirm whether AAEXS is currently a SolFence dealer/installer or this is an inquiry-stage page]

Key Features

  • Vertical bifacial solar — fence and PV in one structure
  • Flatter production curve: morning + afternoon peaks vs midday spike
  • No roof penetrations — ideal for slate, cedar, clay tile, or HOA-restricted homes
  • Pairs with battery backup (Enphase IQ Battery or Tesla Powerwall)
  • Eligible for the 30% federal solar tax credit
  • Doubles as a privacy fence along property lines

Ever wondered how much energy — and money — solar power can save you in Illinois?

Why This System

No Roof Required

Bad roof orientation? Slate, cedar, or clay tile? HOA restrictions? SolFence puts the solar array along the property line instead.

Flatter Production

Vertical bifacial panels generate strongest in morning and late afternoon — closer to actual home energy use patterns.

Privacy Fence Built-In

The structure already gives you a privacy fence. The fact that it generates power is the bonus.

PowerPay Solar Financing
